A hotly anticipated new fried chicken shop, Miss Millie’s, has announced their official opening date in Canterbury city centre.
Miss Millie’s is widely recognised as the UK’s original fried chicken store, and this month they’ll be opening their first ever store in the East of the country on Canterbury High Street. The brand is currently the South West’s best-loved fried chicken shop, and with recent new openings across the UK including Edinburgh, Newquay and Southampton, Canterbury will be the group’s 13th opening in the UK, and is due to open on the High Street in the city on Friday 21st November, with a free-to-attend launch party, including free chicken tenders for the first 100 guests, on Thursday 20th November.
The opening has been highly anticipated by locals since Miss Millie’s announced their plans to branch into Canterbury earlier this year, and chicken fans can now get a date in their diary to try the new arrival.
Miss Millie’s, whose first store opened in Bristol in 1988, has built up a loyal customer base in the South-West over the last four decades, and are known and loved for their Wings of Fire, tenders, burgers, wraps and shakes. Now, with a new brand image and an improved menu, their Canterbury opening will be the first store in the country to open with the new look and menu offering, with ‘flavour first’ at the heart of everything they do.
The Canterbury store will be holding an official opening party on Thursday 20th November, which will see the branch giving away free chicken tenders and, branded merchandise to the first 100 customers, and a chance for locals to check out Canterbury’s latest addition to the food scene, before full opening on Friday 21st November, where customers will be able to eat in, takeaway and order for delivery.
Speaking about the upcoming Canterbury opening, franchisee David Peachey said:
“Myself and the whole team are so excited to finally open the doors at Miss Millie’s Canterbury, especially as it’ll be the first branch in the country to bring the brand’s new look and feel to life! We’ve had so much interest from locals, so we can’t wait to bring the taste of Miss Millie’s to the city!”
Miss Millie’s Canterbury will open at 35 The High Street Canterbury CT1 2RY with their free-to-attend launch party taking place from 6pm on Thursday 20th November. The store will be open for dine in, take away and delivery from Friday 21st November.
Ends.
